Yamazaki Ryokan Takahano-cho_5

The comfy room and the bed. I have never slept on such bed on the floor or better yet, tatami. It was an amazing experince and very comfortable. It's a change from the flat, elevated european style bedding of the usA and an introduction to other comfy beddings like the hammock. Note the Yukata provided to wear in the ryokan, the low table and chair and servings of green tea. Yes it was my first time ever tasting such a tea.
