A closer look of the statute of Sadako and the paper crame above her. While daying of leukemia in a hospital, she was encouraged by one of her friends and school mate to make 1000 paper cranes, which is believed that once the maker finishes it, he/she will recover. Sadako only made somwhere around 600 and then she died. This statutute was made in her memory and struggle to survive.
